In 2009, North Elementary School in Somerset, Massachusetts started a relationship with Amagoro Primary School and the Elewana Education Project
We started with a few kids and currently there are over 120 children who correspond regularily with each other from Amagoro to Somerset.
We are now embarking on a new phase of partnership and collaboration. In 2012, children and adults from Bristol County, Massachusetts will be visiting Amagoro and building a computer lab for our new friends and they will teach our children how to live an "unplugged life".
Harambee is a Swahili word that means pulling all resources together for a common purpose. Our common purpose is commitment from both continents to raise educated, compassionate, global and connected children. These children will then grow to change the world in positive and constructive ways.
